Wings Cooking Instructions
First things first, let’s measure out our ingredients - luckily for us, there aren’t many today!
I prefer to use freshly minced garlic. You can try it with garlic paste and/or the stuff In the jar - but fresh is best!
The only other ingredient you need to dice is the parsley. I would not recommend using the dried stuff in the jar
Prepare the Wings
Start by rinsing the chicken wings and patting them dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for achieving that perfect crispy texture.
In a large bowl, season the wings generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and red pepper flakes. You can adjust the spices according to your heat preference.
Coat with Corn Starch
Sprinkle the corn starch over the seasoned wings and toss well to ensure they're evenly coated. The corn starch will help create an extra crispy crust when frying!
Make the Garlic Parmesan Sauce
While the wings are frying, it’s time to whip up the flavorful sauce.
In a mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, diced parsley, and grated Parmesan cheese.
Stir until well combined, and set aside.
Begin by melting the butter and season.
Next, add In the garlic and parsley.
Season to taste and set aside until the wings are ready.
Fry the Wings
Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot over medium-high heat.
You’ll want enough oil to submerge the wings.
Once the oil reaches about 350°F (175°C), carefully add the wings in batches, being cautious not to overcrowd the pot.
Fry for about 8-10 minutes, or until they’re golden brown and crispy.
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the wings to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
Once your wings are golden brown and beautiful, and 165 degrees internal temp - remove from the oil and place on a wire rack to drain.
Once the wings drain, add to mixing bowl along with the sauce and sauce until evenly coated.
Toss the Wings
Once the wings are done frying, transfer them to a large bowl.
Pour the garlic Parmesan sauce over the wings and toss until they're well coated. The heat from the wings will help meld the flavors together.
Serve and Enjoy!
Plate the wings and garnish with a sprinkle of additional parsley and Parmesan cheese for a beautiful presentation.
Serve them hot, and don’t forget to include some dipping sauces on the side—ranch or blue cheese are classic choices!
Ranch Dressing Instructions
Mix Base Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sour cream, and buttermilk. Stir until smooth.
Add Seasonings: Add the garlic powder, onion powder, dill, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Adjust Consistency: If you prefer a thinner dressing, add more buttermilk or milk a little at a time until you reach your desired consistency.
Taste and Adjust: Taste the dressing and adjust the seasonings if necessary. If you like a bit of tang, add a squeeze of lemon juice.
Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. It will keep in the fridge for about a week.
