Why Garlic Butter Steak Bites Are So Irresistible
The magic lies in the garlic butter – creamy, nutty butter infused with the bold punch of garlic. As the steak sears, the butter melts down into every nook and cranny, ensuring juicy bites with maximum flavor. Paired with herbs, mushrooms, and asparagus, you get a steakhouse-quality meal that’s surprisingly easy to make at home.

The Best Cut of Steak for This Recipe
Choosing the right cut makes all the difference. I recommend ribeye, sirloin, or filet mignon because of their marbling and tenderness. Cut the steak into bite-sized pieces so they sear quickly while staying juicy inside. Season simply with salt, pepper, and garlic butter herb seasoning so the natural flavors shine.

Step-by-Step Garlic Butter Steak Bites Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Steak

Mr. Make It Happen
Japanese Steel Chef Knife
Cut 1 lb filet mignon into bite-sized cubes. Season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic butter herb seasoning.
Set the steak to the side while you prep the remainder of your veggies.

Step 2: Blanch the Asparagus
I like to blanch the asparagus before adding it to the sauce to ensure they get nice and tender but maintain their vibrant color.

To do this, bring a small pot of salted water to a boil. Toss in the asparagus pieces for 2-3 minutes until tender but still bright green. Drain and place in ice water to stop the cooking. Set aside.

Step 3: Sear the Steak Bites

2pc. Hybrid Skillet
Heat 2 tablespoon avocado oil (avocado oil has a higher smoke point) in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak bites for 1-2 minutes per side until browned but not overcooked. Remove and set aside.

Step 4: Build the Garlic Butter Sauce
In the same skillet, add 3 tablespoon butter, onions, mushrooms, parsley, and we are also going to add… drum roll please… GARLIC, and lots of it.
Sauté until the onions and mushrooms soften, releasing their flavor into the butter.
Step 5: Add Seasonings and Broth
For the flavor enhancers, we are going with some chicken bouillon powder, mostly for the MSG and a little garlic butter and herb seasoning.

Stir in 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon powder and pour in ½ cup beef broth.
Step 6: Bring it All Together
Return the steak bites and asparagus to the skillet, tossing them in the garlic butter sauce until coated and heated through.

Step 7: Serve & Enjoy
Plate over rice, mashed potatoes, or serve as is with a side of crusty bread to soak up that garlic butter goodness. For another crowd-pleaser, check out my shepherd's pie. Looking for more?
